The Compassionate Friends Annual Candle Lighting!

On the 2nd Sunday in December, The Compassionate Friends Worldwide Candle Lighting unites family and friends around the globe in lighting candles for one hour to honor the memories of our beloved children, siblings and grandchildren gone too soon. As candles are lit at 7pm local time, thousands of people honor the memory of all our children who have died. Believed to be the largest mass candle lighting in the world, this annual event creates a virtual 24 hour wave of light as it moves from time zone to time zone.
Our chapter participates in this event each year uniting families and friends everywhere with a beautiful program of music, readings and lighting candles to honor the memories of our children, siblings and grandchildren.
Although this year we cannot physically be together, we invite you to join us virtually on Sunday, December 13th, beginning promptly at 6:59 as we celebrate our loved ones who have left us too soon. As part of this year’s program, please gather a candle and match so you may light your own candle as your loved one’s name is read. As always, a highlight of the program will be the beautiful video of our children’s pictures.

Our chapter participates in this event uniting families and friends everywhere with a beautiful program of music, readings, and lighting candles to honor the memories of our children, siblings and grandchildren.

Sunday, 12/13/2020 at 7pm

We create a lovely slide presentation of our children’s photos for the program:
